Tangu Recovery is an outpatient facility in Atlanta, Georgia, that provides mental health and addiction recovery. They are CARF-accredited and licensed by the State of Georgia. They’re able to provide three levels of outpatient treatment such as their partial hospitalization program (PHP), their intensive outpatient program (IOP) and general outpatient group therapy (OP). Your level of care will be personalized based on your specific needs.

PHP might be beneficial if you’re either transferring from residential treatment or beginning recovery. You’ll spend most of your day in treatment but are able to return home at night.
IOP uses a combination of therapy, group activities and education. I like that you can visit with the doctor as well. The lowest level of care is their OP therapy. You’ll attend group therapy with your peers.

I like that their therapies are tailored to address each person’s unique needs. You’ll receive help in uncovering underlying issues that may contribute to your addiction or mental health struggles. The center emphasizes building life skills, managing stress and developing coping mechanisms to foster long term well being.

The center is situated in a vibrant area with plenty of things to do nearby. The area offers a mix of nature, culture and entertainment options.

Just a short drive away is Piedmont Park and the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Piedmont Park is Atlanta’s most popular green space and the botanical garden includes a tropical rainforest and a Japanese garden.

If you prefer to do something indoors, then the Georgia Aquarium or the Coca-Cola Museum may be of interest to you. The Georgia Aquarium is huge, and the Coca-Cola Museum is interactive with fun exhibits and tastings.
