The Baltimore Station – Baker Street in Baltimore, Maryland is a clinically managed residential drug rehab and behavioral health facility. They offer cognitive behavioral therapy alongside alternative therapies and support for homeless men of all ethnicities and walks of life.
The Baltimore Station’s residential treatment program operates on an evidence based, client centered approach to encourage socially responsible behavior. The program offers case management and relapse prevention to homeless individuals looking to find their feet and set themselves up for a sustainable recovery. This is done through cognitive behavioral groups, peer facilitative groups, as well as individual and group therapy. Modalities include CBT, counseling for grieving and loss and psychotherapy. Many alternative therapies are also included such as art therapy, music therapy, mindfulness and meditation, experiential therapy, journaling, piscatorial therapy and field trips.
The Baltimore Station also provides a life skills program to establish healthier coping mechanisms, as well as transferable skills such as financial literacy, cooking, resume building and health and hygiene. Partners of Baltimore Station also assist in providing tutoring, education, family services, job placements and training to offer clients the best possible start post recovery.
The Baltimore Station is a nonprofit organization that offers its services for free. However,
the costs of any additional medical services may be covered in whole or in part by major insurers such as Humana, Cigna, BlueCross and Aetna. Contact your provider to verify coverage because out of network benefits may vary.
