About The Buckeye Ranch: Residential Campus – Grove City
The Buckeye Ranch in Grove City, Ohio, is an addiction and mental health treatment facility that provides behavioral health support to children and families around central Ohio. The facility focuses on families and works to equip youth with the knowledge they need to heal and grow.
The Ranch provides residential treatment services as well as community and education based mental health services. They also offer integrated care and child welfare programs. Children and families can receive mental healthcare, family therapy and physical and nutritional healthcare. I like that this facility also provides access to social support and educational resources which are important when families are facing these types of challenges.
Community based care at Buckeye Ranch includes an intensive family support program. Participating families can receive intensive home based treatment, multisystemic therapy and functional family therapy. I think it’s important that they also integrate dual diagnosis treatment. This addresses any conditions that are occurring at the same time such as depression and substance abuse. The Ranch’s services can benefit children who have recently experienced changes in their grades, school disruptions or fights. Treatment also covers impulsive behavior, self harming behaviors and drugs or alcohol consumption.
The Grove location is currently undergoing an expansion, and a new building is expected to open by the summer of 2025. The newer building will increase the facility’s capacity to 96 total beds for residential services. This includes at least four crisis stabilization units. The expansion will also include renovations to the existing dining areas.
Reviews from former patients and community members reflect an overall positive outlook on the facility and the care they receive there. Some former patients mentioned enjoying the beautiful grounds on the ranch. Others mentioned how the staff will do anything to ensure the safety of the patients.
