They offer supervised medical detox and residential programs. They also help you plan for aftercare and relapse prevention, and provide an alumni program to harness the power of the community in your addiction recovery.

In addition to traditional treatment, they offer a variety of complementary services that help you establish long term recovery and learn healthy coping options. For example they offer yoga and music therapy to help you reduce stress and express yourself in new ways.

What I found most interesting was their pet therapy program. This program allows residents to bring their pets with them to treatment. Studies show that the presence of a pet reduces blood pressure and heart rate, decreases anxiety and stabilizes mood, and improves anger management and frustration tolerance.

Bringing this piece of home with you keeps you active and accountable in your recovery and brings comfort in an unfamiliar situation. Your pet provides you with nonjudgemental, unconditional love.
