About Tri County Human Services – Outpatient – Lakeland
Located in Highland City, Florida, Tri County Human Services – Lakeland Outpatient Clinic offers addiction counseling and medication assisted treatment (MAT) for adults. They also offer specialized treatment for postpartum women, helping them find and maintain sobriety as they get used to their new lives as mothers.
Their MAT services use either Suboxone or Vivitrol. Both programs have a heavy focus on addiction counseling, with additional services including case management and group therapy. If you do not require detox services, you’ll take their outpatient assessment to determine if you’re a good candidate for either of the medications. If you don’t require medication to manage your withdrawal and cravings, you can still benefit from their outpatient addiction and mental health counseling services.
Their initial assessment looks at various biopsychosocial, spiritual and cultural aspects that influence your current condition and treatment needs. It ensures the staff deeply understand your needs and the context in which you’ll be receiving treatment. Once you’ve completed the assessment, you’ll receive an individualized treatment plan and meet your primary counselor – the person who will work with you during individual and group therapy sessions.

Tri County Human Services also runs an incredible program called PATH – Projects for Assistance to Transition from Homelessness. The PATH program was created to find and assist people experiencing homelessness. They aim to help them overcome mental health disorders, substance use disorders and combinations of the two. They work directly with transitional housing providers, jails, drop-in centers and other community resources to provide individualized care to anyone in need.
