About Tri – County Mental Health Services – Rumford
Tri-County Mental Health Services was located in Rumford, Maine. They helped people with mental health problems and substance use disorders (SUD). They were in business for over 60 years and had a professional staff that consisted of over 400 clinicians, case management and crisis workers, and residential and rehab staff.
They had a wide range of programs and services to help you with mental health, SUD and or co-occurring issues. They worked with children, adults and families offering specialized treatment options that were considered holistic, individualized and integrated. They also used a strength based, trauma informed, patient centered care approach.
Their SUD services for adults included individual and group treatment, codependency treatment and Driver Education and Evaluation programs. They also had a behavioral health homes program that had a team of clinicians, nurses and peers to help you with case management, health/symptom management and skill building, plus coordination with healthcare.
They had a children’s behavioral health home program here. It was a holistic service that helped children and their families’ emotional needs. There was a health home coordinator, a clinical team leader, a nurse and a family peer support specialist.
Their family services consisted of family therapy sessions with a licensed expert. They also had multisystemic therapy services or MST. MST is intensive, family and community based treatment that lasts up to five months. It considers all aspects of an adolescent’s life who is at risk of being removed from their home. These sessions could be done at home, in school or in the community with the hope of keeping the family together.
