TruHealing Baltimore used to be called Foundations Recovery Center. It’s based in Baltimore, Maryland. They have residential care and detox for adults with drug and alcohol issues, while an outpatient site is out in Windsor Mill. They’re accredited by The Joint Commission, so you know they follow a standard level of professional care.
Their residential program offers strategies for addressing your addictions and any underlying mental disorder. You’ll be placed in group and individual therapy and learn new life skills as well as from others in the same boat. Some of their approaches can include motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy so you’ll know which behaviors to change and why. There’s also a range of art, music, and creative therapy. You can also partake in yoga, dance, play sports, and work with animals. In all these instances, you’ll develop healthier goals and ways to reach them without depending on drugs. You’ll also build a network of peer support so that you and your cohorts can recover together.
After your inpatient care ends, you can be referred to an outpatient program or to aftercare. There’s an alumni network with events so you can stay in touch with your case management team and your cohorts.
