About U-Turn for Christ South Carolina – Lexington
U-Turn for Christ is a Christian faith based addiction and mental health treatment facility. It’s designed to assist adult men looking to recover from addictions through rehabilitation, counseling, fellowship, restoration, and the power of Jesus Christ.
The services provided are not covered by insurance so they are a self-pay treatment center. These services are designed exclusively for men over the age of 18 who have been sober for at least 24 hours before enrolling.
This is a multi phase treatment program. You’ll start in phase one where you’ll seek freedom from your addiction. During this two month period, clients undergo extensive education. They’ll read and study the Bible intensively for up to five Bible sessions every day.
Outside of the intense Bible study, men can volunteer in the community, work, do chores or seek out the Lord in their own ways. During this phase, men will live in a dormitory style building. The purpose of this arrangement is to encourage and facilitate fellowship.
After two weeks in the program, the facility encourages families to visit on Sundays.
After you finish phase one, you’ll have the option to take an additional six months of growth and training through ministry work at the facility. That’s phase two of the program.
During this time, clients will be encouraged to secure employment, become responsible, start paying bills, and learn more about taking care of their personal needs as a sober individual. Throughout the process, men will continue to participate in Bible studies and church services, but they won’t be as intensive as they were during the first stage.
The facility states that clients who fully complete phase two are more likely to enjoy a longer term recovery period.
The facility currently accepts court referrals. Participants must make a minimum eight month commitment to fulfill court requirements.
