Hackensack VA Clinic is an addiction treatment center that treats veterans and their families living in Hackensack, New Jersey. They not only treat drug and alcohol addictions, but mental health disorders too. This is referred to as a dual diagnosis center. Since many veterans experience lots of trauma during their time on active duty, it’s important for these clinics to offer care for individuals with co-occurring conditions. This may include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and PTSD. Of course, other conditions are treated as well. Referrals are not required to get an appointment.

Counseling services include individual and group therapy, and marriage or relationship counseling. Individual therapy lets you speak directly with a professional therapist who can help guide you in the right direction by giving you the tools you need to succeed in the real world. This can include learning new coping skills, dealing with your trauma, and identifying triggers. Group therapy, on the other hand, will do much of the same but in a group setting where others can keep you accountable.
