VA San Diego Healthcare System Mission Valley CBOC provides behavioral health care in the Mission Valley district of San Diego, California to Veterans and military personnel. Their services are available on an outpatient basis.

The outpatient program begins with an assessment to determine the areas of challenge for each person. Psychiatric care, medication review and management services, individual therapy, group therapy, case management services, and trauma-informed treatment are provided. It is important to note that this is not an addiction treatment center, so if addiction is a concern, individuals may need to be referred to an alcohol and drug rehab center that can provide higher levels of care. Individuals who have made progress through the outpatient level of care may choose to continue treatment long-term through an aftercare program that allows them to meet with their mental health practitioner at a lesser frequency.
