About Wellstone Regional Hospital – Jeffersonville
Wellstone Regional Hospital is a behavioral health facility that’s located in Jeffersonville, Indiana. You’ll have the ability to choose from inpatient treatment and an intensive outpatient program for adults, adolescents, and children. Two tracks are available for addiction and mental health.
The addiction treatment program at Wellstone is called Stepping Stones to Recovery. Stepping Stones is a program for adults 18 and older and offers you a pathway to sobriety. Medical and psychotherapeutic interventions are used. You can also expect them to use the 12 steps as a mode of recovery. You can invite your family to be a part of your recovery journey by attending treatment meetings.
If you choose the intensive outpatient program, you’ll participate in several group sessions per week and one educational session. You’ll be encouraged to attend AA or NA meetings in addition to the intensive outpatient program sessions.
The adolescent programs are for kids aged 13 through 17. During this inpatient treatment, you can expect your kids to follow a structured schedule that includes group and individual therapy. They’ll also participate in recreation time, study hall, and goal setting. The intensive outpatient program for adolescents is held between three and five days per week from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.
The children’s programs use the same components and schedules as the adolescents. Children aged four through 12 are treated in these programs. I think it’s great they offer programs that treat patients of every age.
Some former clients said the staff was kind and they had a great experience. Others said that these programs lacked structure and professionalism.
