WestCare – GulfCoast is a drug and alcohol rehab center located in Pinellas Park, Florida. They offer medication assisted treatment, outpatient programs, and specialty tracks for veterans and justice involved persons who are under court order to undergo substance use disorder treatment.

Medication assisted treatment provides medications along with comprehensive medical, psychiatric, and behavioral counseling. FDA approved prescriptions, such as methadone and buprenorphine, may be used to support withdrawal from opioid drugs and to help maintain long term abstinence. By combining medication with mental health treatment, a greater chance of success is achieved for long term abstinence.

Drug court and veterans drug court services require clients in the Pinellas County Drug Court system to undergo 12 weeks of group counseling and screenings. Participants receive special offender counseling that recognizes clients’ learning needs, psychological problems and social skills development needs.The abstinence model is divided between abstaining from substance use and abstaining from criminal activity. Treatment includes onsite staff and the judge, other members of the legal system, case managers, probation officers, and attorneys. Additional care addresses the underlying unresolved issues that often accompany veterans. This can include trauma, PTSD, and difficulty reintegrating back into society, along with changes in personality, mood, and behavior.

WestCare – GulfCoast offers self pay and financing options. The center may be in network with Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Optum, and Wellpoint. Please check your insurance provider for coverage and out of network benefits.
