About WestCare Nevada – Women and Children’s Campus – Las Vegas
WestCare – Women and Children’s Campus is located on Duncan Drive in Las Vegas, Nevada. They’re a nonprofit organization offering substance use disorder treatment and treatment for co-occurring disorders on a campus designed for women and their children.
The program is CARF accredited and accepts insurance from most major insurers. If you don’t have insurance, they can help you get benefits the same day you apply. They won’t turn you away if you don’t have the resources to pay.
The program at the Women and Children’s Campus is Healthy Families Residential for Pregnant & Parenting Women. This is a residential program specifically for women and their children. They also welcome veterans. If you’re pregnant, postpartum or have young children you can find a place in this program. If you need regular primary care medical services, they’ll coordinate your treatment.
The goal is the elimination of your substance dependency. There are many factors when it comes to women with chemical dependency, and the program aims to assist with all of them. If you’re pregnant, they’ll work with you to get healthy to avoid having a child with a low birth weight or dependency issues at birth.
If you’re having a custody issue due to your substance use, they’ll work to help reunite you with your children. This includes helping you with economic self sufficiency, building your self esteem and teaching you about accepting responsibility for your issues.
You’ll learn better problem solving and coping skills to steer you away from leaning on substances to cope. You’ll take parenting programs to understand what effective, healthy parenting looks like so you can have better, healthier relationships with your children.
At the center, you’ll have a case manager to help coordinate your care. There’s intensive trauma informed therapy, peer support and counseling services.
Former patients remarked that if you’re serious about getting sober and don’t mind following simple rules, you’ll get great care. It was also noted that the counselors are understanding and amazing.
