Yes Community Counseling Center prides itself on supporting anyone in the community who needs it. They have served the community of Massapequa, New York, since 1977. It provides treatment and education programs to prevent and treat substance use among adolescents, teenagers, and adults to promote happy, healthy families and a safe community.
When it comes to treatment, it’s not one size fits all. Yes have separate substance use programs for adults, adolescents, and young adults, to ensure that the addiction issues of each peer group are addressed. Individualized treatment programs consist of solo counseling and specialized group sessions. Couples counseling and family therapy may also be used to help strengthen support systems during recovery.
The variety of specialized therapy groups is impressive and includes drug and alcohol education, stress management, parenting skills, mindful recovery, and support groups for women, young adults, and adolescents. One of the standouts at Yes is the Teen Early Intervention program. It provides therapy, education, and skill-building to teens at the beginning stages of substance use to help prevent addiction.
What’s great about Yes is that if they feel a client is better served in an outside program, they will refer them to a trusted facility so they get the appropriate addiction treatment.
