Outpatient services at Youth Advocate Programs (YAP) are delivered by staff living in or near the communities they serve. Crisis intervention services and outpatient care are available 24/7 as needed. Clients receive mental, medical, and behavioral health assessments, individualized care plans, and comprehensive case management. They also engage in intensive individual, group, and family counseling drawing on a range of proven modalities, including CBT, DBT, RBT, and motivational interviewing.
YAP’s ancillary services promote long term recovery through a robust continuum of care aligned with the evolving needs of clients and their families. They emphasize recovery focused life skills training, including classes in self care, wellness, coping, communication, problem solving, and relapse prevention. Clients receive academic support, vocational training for adolescents, and medical, mental health, and social service referrals.
