Halfway to Home was founded in 2009 and is dedicated to providing sober living environments in Chicago centered on recovery, responsibility, and respect. Our goal is to provide the support necessary to empower residents to rebuild their lives so that they can become full members of the community.
Halfway to Home is housing, not treatment. A recovery residence provides a stable, alcohol- and drug-free place to live alongside other people in recovery, with the peer accountability and daily structure that research consistently links to better outcomes. Unless a home is a NARR Level IV setting or is separately licensed, it does not provide therapy, detoxification, medication management or medical supervision on site. Residents who need clinical care attend an independently licensed program of their own choosing.
