A clean and sober transitional home for women who are currently in outpatient treatment or who have successfully completed a treatment program within the past 12 months. This program provides women with much needed time in order to build their employment skills and financial stability to move into their own independent, permanent housing.
Ka ‘Ohu Hou O Manoa Transitional Housing is housing, not treatment. A recovery residence provides a stable, alcohol- and drug-free place to live alongside other people in recovery, with the peer accountability and daily structure that research consistently links to better outcomes. Unless a home is a NARR Level IV setting or is separately licensed, it does not provide therapy, detoxification, medication management or medical supervision on site. Residents who need clinical care attend an independently licensed program of their own choosing.
