We build recovery communities. We see a world where every person in recovery has access to a supportive, healthy, and safe home environment built on respect, focused on recovery, and led by peers. Our homes are located in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Maine.
We lead the best sober living homes in New England; structured sober house communities where those in recovery live together as a family to develop the tools and strengthen their character in order to live free from substance abuse. Our sober living homes allow for independence; however, they are guided by a set of recovery-focused house rules, standards, and expectations. The core of our recovery home structure is abstinence from drugs and alcohol.
Vanderburgh House – Sober House is housing, not treatment. A recovery residence provides a stable, alcohol- and drug-free place to live alongside other people in recovery, with the peer accountability and daily structure that research consistently links to better outcomes. Unless a home is a NARR Level IV setting or is separately licensed, it does not provide therapy, detoxification, medication management or medical supervision on site. Residents who need clinical care attend an independently licensed program of their own choosing.
