About ABC Recovery Center – Indio

ABC Recovery Center is a rehabilitation facility in Indio, California, that helps individuals recover from substance use disorder. The levels of care they offer include detox services, residential treatment and intensive outpatient treatment. They also provide transitional living homes for clients after they complete their recovery program.

The perinatal program is a specialized treatment service for women with substance use disorders who are currently pregnant. The staff will focus on guiding you through recovery while making sure that the unborn child is being cared for.

After you complete your pregnancy, you’ll be provided a sober living environment to continue your recovery. The staff will also provide you with parenting training.

The residential treatment program at ABC Recovery Center lasts about 30 to 60 days. Your treatment will focus on preparing you for a life of sobriety outside of the facility. You’ll be assigned a therapist or a primary counselor who will design a customized treatment after an assessment of your needs.

Along with individual and group therapy sessions to help you understand your addiction and learn coping skills, the facility will also offer experiential therapy. This will involve doing activities such as music or art as a means of expressing your emotions. It can also expose you to new ways you can relieve your stress without using substances.

Indio is a small town known for having numerous festivals throughout the year. Outside of the festivals, one sober activity you can enjoy is visiting the Coachella Valley History Museum. It features a 1930s home and a restored 1909 schoolhouse.

12-Step

12 step programs such as Alcoholics or Narcotics Anonymous are support group style programs for individuals who are experiencing alcohol or substance use disorder. Aftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support.
