Abraxas Lehigh Valley specializes in 7 Key Principles of Balanced Parenting, Individual Adolescent Case Management, Family Brokering of Community Resources and Developing Self Sufficiency, Visiting Coaching, and Community-Based Aggression Replacement Training (ART). They also offer additional services such as Crisis Intervention with 24/7 availability, Curfew Monitoring, and Drug Screening.
The average length of care ranges from 3 to 6 months with frequency of contact in the home ranging from 1 day a week to 6 days a week. Lehigh Valley Community-Based program believes strongly that family involvement in the treatment process correlates with an increase in positive outcomes. Parents/legal guardians help to develop a treatment plan and goals for their child’s success.
Family Structure Restoration is a multi-dimensional approach that assists families in creating a solid foundation from which to build positive, sustainable change for the future. It is based on three main components Brokering Community Resources, 1 on 1 Decision Making Skills, and Balanced Parenting.
Also, Visit Coaching aims to help parents understand the effects the parent/child separation process can have on their child, to identify the child’s needs and determine how to meet those needs, and supports the parents by helping them demonstrate their best parenting skills to improve visits for their child.
