About Acacia Network – Brooklyn
The Acacia Network’s Carlos Pagan Recovery Center is in Brooklyn, New York. They’ve been helping underserved communities, inclusive of adults, young adults, and adolescents with dependency and substance addiction disorders for over 50 years. They primarily provide addiction services through outpatient and men’s residential treatment programs.
Their center’s addiction services blend substance use treatment and trauma-informed addiction treatment programs together. Their individualized treatment options are all backed with evidence and take on a holistic, whole-person approach.
The outpatient substance abuse programs are designed for teens and adults. It includes crucial family counseling to help build a supportive familial bond, as well as individual and group therapy services to help you work through the root causes of your addiction. Depending on your needs, your program may entail receiving medicated assisted treatment to help you manage cravings and the harsh symptoms associated with substance abuse detox.
In particular, the residential substance use treatment program for men was a program that helped me understand my addiction tremendously. Through individual and group counseling, I healed my mind and body. This program takes a clinical approach and uses a dialectical behavior therapy phase system. I adapted and applied the knowledge I gained after enrolling in this program, helping me maintain healthy, sober habits. Others found it to be equally beneficial.
