About Acacia Network – UBP La Casita II – East Bronx
Acacia Network–UBP (United Bronx Parents) La Casita ll in New York City and was part of the Acacia Network human services organization in New York. La Casita ll was a residential treatment center for women, especially for pregnant women and mothers with opioid addiction, alcohol addiction, or dual diagnosis, an addiction plus another mental health disorder. They’re currently closed, but there are other La Casita clinics nearby.
This 12-bed family friendly facility allowed children to stay with their mothers during treatment. The residence provided culturally sensitive treatments for the large Hispanic population that’s served by Acadia Network.
In addition to substance abuse and mental health treatment, residents received life skills training that included money management, educational support, and parenting classes. Counseling that focused on relapse prevention included individual, group, couples, and family sessions, as well as trauma-related counseling when needed.
Everyone is accepted for treatment at the various Acacia Network facilities, regardless of their ability to pay. Insurances are accepted, including Medicaid, Medicare, New York State Empire insurance, and some private insurances. But for those without insurance, or insufficient insurance, discounts using a sliding fee scale payment option, based on income and family size, are available.
