Dating back to 1981, Cape Counseling Services – Route 9 is a leader in the prevention and treatment of drug abuse in Cape May Court House, New Jersey. They work with youth and adults from the New Jersey communities. Their recovery programs include intensive outpatient treatment, recovery support and individual counseling.
They focus on prevention as the key to reducing substance misuse. Education, advocacy and community teamwork are the three pillars that they use. They have a strong education program for all ages. They also use community and youth groups to help this work move forward.
In the intensive outpatient program, you’ll attend regular group sessions for a total of nine weekly hours. You’ll also meet with a therapist individually. You’ll discuss relapse prevention, coping skills, as well as build a community with others on the same path. During individual counseling, you’ll explore your issues that could have contributed to addiction such as trauma or family problems.
Cape accepts many funding sources such as parole, SJI initiative, DUII initiative, Medicaid, O.C.E.A.N., Inc, DCPP and self pay. They have flexibility for those who are low income and uninsured.
