The team at Action with Aloha are well-versed in many therapy modalities and all take a client-centered approach to treatment. Many of them use a strengths perspective, and will work with you to identify and lean into your strengths as you recover. You might also work on developing a sense of purpose in your life, which can help you maintain motivation to stay sober and healthy.

Other staff specialize in bridging relational gaps between parents and children. They help kids and their parents communicate clearly with each other about their needs, expectations, and experiences.

One staff member has done a lot of research with the Department of Psychiatry at the UH Mānoa. They helped them develop prevention programs for substance use that are based on Hawaiian cultural practices.
