About AIM Recovery Center – Dickinson
AIM Recovery Center in Dickinson, Texas, was a counseling facility that hosted different recovery workshops for men and women with substance use challenges. They also had programs that addressed co-occurring mental health struggles you might’ve been facing as well.
Care was offered in an outpatient setting and included a blend of evidence based practices and holistic approaches to care, though they had their own bespoke recovery model. Unfortunately, this facility has temporarily closed.
When you first come into the recovery center, you would have been met with a small and welcoming clinic that offers more of a home like feel to it than a clinical environment. The waiting room was small yet inviting, while the counseling rooms allowed you to feel comfortable enough to let down your guard and work through the therapies.
When you start treatment, you would have found support through both traditional counseling and their alternative 12 Step approach known as the Holistic 12-Step Alternative Addiction Recovery Program. Building a sense of community was important as with the traditional 12 Steps, but this holistic approach focused on brain science and spirituality. Their aim was to help you unlock your potential to lead a sober and healthy life.
The AIM Recovery Center hosted different healing workshops including their Access Breath Workshop. Many past clients say they appreciated how this workshop helped them center their thoughts and improve their mental clarity. These aspects helped them improve their overall addiction recovery.
They had other specialized programs including anger management classes, faith based treatment, and trauma informed care. When you first started treatment, you would have worked with counselors to determine appropriate treatment plans and how they fit into your overall recovery.
