About Al Anon Family Groups – Boise
Al-Anon Family Groups are all over the country. It’s a fellowship for families hurt by alcoholism. Sometimes the best way to get support is to reach out to other families in the same boat. This particular group is in Boise, Idaho. Here, you’ll get the chance to meet others, share and learn from each other, and heal.
Al-Anon isn’t specific when it comes to formatting. There’s online meetings and live meetups. It all depends on your comfort level and which ones appeal to you. You can join one or many groups. It’s all up to you.
They have a lot of meetings each day in the mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. Some meetings are for specific groups, like women or Spanish speakers, while others might focus on spiritual healing or reading books about recovery. There may be motivational speakers or an open forum. It’s ok if you can’t make every meeting for your group. Check out the calendars listed on Al-Anon’s Idado website for updates and details.
One special type of Al-Anon group is Alateens. This is a youth network made up of kids and teens who are emotionally and psychologically hurt by a family member’s drinking. These meetings are supervised by parents. They’re also held online or in person.
