About Alcohol & Drug Awareness Council – Nacogdoches
The Alcohol and Drug Awareness Council is located in Nacogdoches, Texas. Outpatient services are provided to youth and adults. Financial eligibility forms must be completed before admission. This form will help determine what fees an individual will be required to pay.
The adult outpatient program is for men and women 18 years and older. The youth outpatient program is for individuals between the age of 13-17 years old. Depending on the maturity level of some young adults between the ages of 18-21, some may be placed in the youth program.
All individuals will be screened by a staff member, before being allowed admissions. This screening will help determine if the program offered is right for you, with their current criteria. You must have overcome the early stages of alcohol and/or drug use. You must not be in need of medical detox or inpatient treatment.
The length of both programs is between 3-6 months. Your progress will be regularly assessed. There will be 1-2 individual therapy sessions per month. Group sessions and/or educational services will be offered 1-2 times per week.
The youth program offers family education and home visits. The family will need to attend family education group sessions twice per month. Their sessions are about 90 minutes in length. If you’re in the cannabis treatment program, a counselor will be required to conduct 4 home visits.
