About Alta Mira Recovery Programs – Sausalito
Alta Mira Recovery Programs is located in Sausalito, California. They address drug and alcohol addictions for adults. When you’re admitted, you’ll receive residential care and aftercare programs, with special programs for your family.
The residential care program lasts 90 days. Here, you’ll receive a range of trauma and grief counseling, daily group sessions, and experiential therapy. This can include kayaking, rope climbing, ziplining, hiking, and workouts. Acupuncture and equine therapy are also available. There’s also enrollment in 12 Step programs so you’ll recover and go on nature and tourist excursions and with your cohort.
The facility itself has a luxury hotel setting. There’s a rooftop view of San Francisco harbor, private suites for detox and withdrawal, double occupancy rooms, full kitchen, fitness center, and private baths.
There’s also a family program. This lasts for three days, in which your family will have intensive counseling and education classes to understand how addiction can impact everyone around you. In addition to learning more about each other, you’ll gain insight into how your recovery can improve your relationships.
After you complete the program, there’ll be an alumni program. This includes weekly meetups, quarterly and annual events, and check ins with your care coordinators. The center is always standing by to assist graduates’ continuing sobriety.
