Located in La Mesa, California, Alvarado Parkway Institute API PATH Is an alcohol and drug rehab center, dual diagnosis treatment center, and mental health treatment center that provides behavioral health care to adults through inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.
The inpatient program is for individuals who are at high risk of harming themselves or others and who need stabilization services and 24/7 supervision. Treatment begins with a psychiatric assessment and a personalized treatment plan. Individual therapy, medication management, group therapy, stress management, and skills classes are provided.
The partial hospitalization program meets for 6 hours a day, Monday through Friday. This highly structured outpatient program is a step down from the inpatient level of care, allowing individuals the ability to go back to their home environment during evening hours. Relapse prevention and helping clients create a healthy life are the primary focal points of this program.
The Intensive outpatient meets three times a week for three hours at a time. The main emphasis of this program is to continue to support clients in obtaining more freedom in their lives while supporting them in implementing recovery skills and tools into daily life.
