About Amicus House – San Jose
Located in San Jose, California, Amicus House is a transitional living or sober living home that takes in individuals who are experiencing substance use disorders. They come highly recommended from their former residents, who have left extensive blurbs for them in the testimonials section of their website. They also have a Work Release Program. Their sober living services however, come with two different price options. The first includes a shared room for $700 a month. It’s a decent price, but you’ll have to make peace with the idea of sharing your room. The second option includes a private room. This will run you $1400 a month. It’s not a terrible price considering everything it includes, mainly a comfortable and safe environment to focus on your recovery.
Their program has mandatory 12 Step meetings and 12 Step sponsorship. If you don’t know much about the 12 Step Program, it receives a lot of praise and has helped a lot of people by bringing practical steps for recovery and inviting spirituality into the conversation. During your stay, you’ll attend work and school, volunteer, and do house chores.
