Ascension Illinois Center for Mental Health Melrose Park Casa Esperanza is located in Melrose Park, Illinois. They offer specialized care for children, teens and adults with mental and or emotional health conditions as well as substance abuse.
They take a family first approach here and want you to know that they are there to listen if you or your children are having any mental health issues. They believe your mental health is just as important as physical health and the two go hand in hand.
They’ll also help you if youäre having problems with family or relationships responsibilities, the ability to do daily tasks, if you’re having mood changes or mood swings or even thought so suicide.
They help people struggling with anxiety, substance abuse, depression or sadness, excessive worrying or fear, changes in appetite or hallucination. Even though they have a wide range of options, if being outdoors can help, you can head to Melrose Dog Park or drive down to Thatcher Woods to relax and unwind.
They have a team of psychiatrists, psychologists and counselors to help treat PTSD, bi polar disorder, panic attacks, depression and phobias.
Their methods of treatment are through individual, group and or family therapy. They have a psychosocial rehabilitation day program that gives structure and routine to people with severe mental illness and or are dual diagnosis.
The team works with medication management, has a parenting class that runs for 12 weeks, and a DUI program and they can provide options for short term, long term and transitional housing if needed. They do anger management treatment and partner abuse interventions as well as 24 hour crisis interventions.
They have a unique program for strengthening families which works on communication, discipline and how to reinforce positive behaviors. They also have a mental health court management program and misdemeanor deferred prosecution program. They’ve extended weekend hours as well as virtual appointments.
