About Arapahoe House Littleton Center – Littleton
The Arapahoe House Littleton Center is a residential treatment program located in Littleton, Colorado. This program supports women who have dependent children, women who need Short Term Intensive Residential Remediation Treatment (STIRRT), and women who need general transitional residential treatment.
There’s a strong focus on helping pregnant women and active mothers develop the skills they need to overcome struggles with substance use while building meaningful relationships with their children and other loved ones. This is done through their New Directions for Families program.
They accept insurance and Medicaid to help pay for the cost of residential treatment. There are also financial assistance programs along with scholarships that can help alleviate the cost of care. Their admissions specialists will go over different payment options and services during the admissions process.
Women in this program learn about parenting skills, how to bond positively with their children and other loved ones, and how to manage triggers and complex emotions that impact their mental health. There’s also dedicated substance abuse counseling to address specific addiction struggles mothers in recovery face.
Generally, participation in the program can last up to four months. During this time you’ll be able to connect with other mothers, build meaningful relationships with your peers and be a part of a network that will support you even after you graduate from the program.
Another one of the major benefits of seeking care here is that children in the New Directions for Families program will receive referrals for early education care. Children ages six weeks to five years old can be referred to the local school district or aftercare programs so that they can receive education support while their mothers participate in addiction recovery therapy.
