I will say right off the bat that Arbor Counseling Services really impressed me with the wide range of services they offer to their clients in Norwell, Massachusetts. They offer outpatient treatment, but they seem to be so much more than an outpatient center.

They offer biopsychosocial evaluations, individual and group therapy and family education and consultations along with case management and relapse prevention education, which includes structuring your time outside of the program. They even have adolescent programs here.

Some of their group therapy topics may include psychoeducation on community resources, relationships and recovery, and codependency. They also have groups for early recovery skills building and self-esteem or stress management. Your program can also include medication assisted treatment using Suboxone or Vivitrol for opioid or alcohol addiction.

When it comes to some of their more unique offerings, they provide a program called Massachusetts Impaired Driving, which is a 16-week treatment program for individuals who were charged with driving under the influence. They can help you gain self-awareness and have some much-needed behavioral changes that can lower your risk for reoffending.

They also have a second offender aftercare program, which makes you commit to a whole year of treatment that can be completed either in individual or group therapy sessions. This is for those who have been convicted of driving under the influence for the second time, and it can help you address problems that are linked to alcohol and drug misuse. They can also help you treat co-occurring disorders in this program, as well as providing psychoeducation.

Finally, they offer 24Q substance abuse evaluations, which are required by the court to provide a more thorough assessment and direct evidence that shows you have been abstinent from drugs or alcohol. These are conducted by licensed clinicians and can help determine the extent of your addiction or co-occurring condition.
