About ARC Community Services – Fond du Lac
ARC Community Services provides specialized services for women, such as addiction treatment, in the Madison, Wisconsin area. It’s a nonprofit agency that helps women reclaim their lives and empowers them to make durable changes. At their location in Fond Du Lac, you’ll find residential substance abuse treatment and parenting education. Treatment is women-responsive and family-centered.
This model was developed at Wellesley College and draws upon women’s relationships and self-development. It recognizes the role of women as caregivers and recommends positive peer groups and support networks.
ARC also acknowledges the role of family in recovery, offering parenting education and requesting family member involvement. Additionally, their framework is trauma informed, using an environment of safety during treatment and addressing all symptoms of trauma. You can expect a homelike environment that fosters dignity and respect.
The residential program at ARC Fond Du Lac is a treatment program for women who are referred from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. The Department of Corrections is also the primary funder of this program, as it is free of cost to the participants.
During treatment, you’ll receive an assessment and individualized treatment planning, participate in group and individual therapy, and engage in intensive strengths-based case management. This program allows your children to visit with you on-site and will work with CPS if you have an open case.
Programming includes medication-assisted therapy, learning vocational and life skills, and anger management classes. While in treatment you’ll receive a robust continuing care plan that helps prepare you for your return to the community.
