About Army Substance Abuse Program – ASAP – New Hanover
Located in Fort Dix, New Jersey, Army Substance Abuse Program – ASAP is an outpatient behavioral health clinic program. Offering outpatient addiction treatment, suicide prevention, and other resources for military service members and their families, ASAP is culturally competent.
At this facility, you’ll address substance abuse and mental health issues and participate in an employee assistance program. Topics range from suicide prevention training to substance abuse awareness training. You can expect to attend group and individual therapy, and educational sessions. Other skills training is also available here.
What’s unique about this facility is that the employee assistance program includes a short term screening and crisis intervention component. It also includes workplace intervention and consultation services. This program is designed to identify whatever factors there may be negatively affecting job performance for military service members.
You can expect to be connected to the appropriate community referrals and resources as needed. If more intensive treatment is required, they will help set it up for you.
