About ARS of Mays Landing – Hamilton, New Jersey

ARS Treatment Centers, short for Addiction Recovery Systems, is a substance abuse treatment facility in Mays Landing, New Jersey. It’s a CARF accredited provider that specializes in providing methadone maintenance, opiate treatment and other substance abuse treatments. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) gives clients access to counseling and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

During the admission process, clients will meet with the director of nursing, the doctor, and the admissions counselor. They’ll provide paperwork to fill out and perform a complete clinical and medical assessment. Staff members will start patients on an appropriate treatment and provide medication the same day if necessary. Patients need to have not used a substance for at least 12 hours prior to arriving at the facility to start medication on the first day.

Methadone, Vivitrol and other federally approved medications will be provided to help with withdrawal symptoms. Appropriate social, medical and clinical services will also be provided during the detox phase of treatment.

I like how ARS has medication-free outpatient programs for clients who may not need any medication to treat their addiction. Clients in this program will receive an assessment to determine the appropriate level of care, individual and group counseling and a DUI evaluation if needed.

In the intensive outpatient program, clients will be expected to participate in group counseling nine hours per week. ARS offers family counseling to help client’s families understand addiction better and know how to provide their loved one with the support they need. Case management services are also available to help clients get access to resources that can help them maintain their recovery.
