Ascension Illinois – Behavioral Health Westchester

The AMITA Health Center for Wellness is now Ascension Illinois – Behavioral Health Westchester. The name change comes after AMITA dissolved operations and services were taken over by Ascension Health. Despite this dissolution, you’ll still find many of the same behavioral healthcare services at this new location in Westchester, Illinois.

If you’re struggling with your mental health and are on the road to recovery from a drug, alcohol, or substance use disorder, you can benefit from the services offered here at this drop in center.

This center is open every day of the week with flexible morning and afternoon hours so that you’ll have access to care when you need it most.

This is a drop in center, meaning you can come in at any time during operating hours without needing to schedule in advance. When you come into the clinic you can speak with a mental health specialist if you’re experiencing a flare up in your mental health or are having addiction struggles like thoughts of relapse or lingering withdrawal symptoms.

This is a safe and supportive place that you can turn to to receive quality behavioral health care, free of judgment. The team here understands the complex layers of recovery and they’re ready to support you during the times you feel overwhelmed, fall down, or feel alone during your recovery journey.

Throughout the week there are different community support groups and activities going on here at the Behavioral Health Westchester Center. There are regular 12 step style support group meetings like Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous.

There are also community activities like Bible study and social activities including game night and movie night. Being active in these programs allows you to strengthen your community of support, meet other peers, and overall strengthen the momentum of your recovery.
