Aspire Health Partners – College Place Apartments is part of Aspire’s nonprofit behavioral health continuum of services. It is one of multiple campuses that provides compassionate and community-based care for individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders. The College Place Apartments in Orlando, Florida, is a 54 bed supervised facility that accommodates men and women.
They provide transitional housing, which can be a point of entry to behavioral healthcare for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. They offer care to individuals who are homeless and those who need a supervised living environment until they have regained the skills needed to move to a more independent living environment. Nearly 90% of the people who use their services move on to independent living.
You must meet eligibility criteria, which include being 18 years of age or older with a severe and persistent mental health diagnosis. You must be able to self transfer and be without any medical conditions that are beyond the scope of care the staff can provide. They offer services for individuals who have moderate skill deficits in one of several categories, including daily living skills, communication skills, medication management skills or social skills.
Participants must be willing to receive substance abuse programming when needed and be assigned a case manager who can coordinate their care and provide community referrals as needed. Your mental health condition must not include any dangerous, suicidal, violent or chronically inappropriate behavior that would disrupt the treatment and care of the other program participants.
