About AWARE – Great Falls
AWARE in Great Falls, Montana is a hub for all the services this organization provides. This main office is the gateway to services for children and adults with mental health and behavioral issues or are living with a developmental disability.
AWARE has been caring for individuals across Montana for decades and has more than 800 employees throughout all 56 counties in Montana. They are one of the biggest providers of mental health services and centers in Montana. Individuals are assessed and admitted to services through their main offices such as the one in Great Falls.
There are programs and services for all ages through this organization. Infants and children up to eight years old and their families can access early childhood programs. All children and adults who are in need have access to the help they need. Things like psychiatric assessments, outpatient counseling, residential and community services are all a part of what they do.
AWARE isn’t just about therapy and treatment. They offer education, life skills development and employment opportunities. They provide a sense of community and a network of support for individuals at all ability levels.
AWARE has an innovative and effective program for assertive community treatment. This program allows individuals at risk of institutionalization and prolonged hospitalization to remain in the community with the support and treatments they require.
The program offers mental health support, medication management, education and employment as well as medical and nursing services. These supports combined with a sense of belonging and community help make this PACT program the success it has been in various communities.
If a client has standard Medicaid and is struggling with a serious and disabling mental illness, they are eligible for the PACT program. They can receive an assessment to determine the best care action plan to meet their needs. Assessments for the PACT program can be coordinated at the main office in Great Falls.
