About BAART Programs Oakland – Oakland
BAART Programs is a drug and alcohol addiction treatment center for adults in Oakland, California. Addiction-related levels of care offered at BAART Programs include mental health evaluations and counseling, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detoxification, and aftercare planning.
Mental Health Assessment and Counseling
Assessments help clinicians to evaluate the client’s mental health to determine the appropriate course of treatment intervention and suitability for medication-assisted treatment. Therapeutic interventions may also include individual, group, and/or family counseling.
Outpatient Detox
BAART offers medication-assisted detox to help alleviate painful withdrawal symptoms using FDA-approved medications. Along with managing withdrawal symptoms, clients benefit from recovery education classes and peer support programs. Same day services are available.
Medication-Assisted Treatment for Addiction
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) involves the use of FDA-approved medications (such as buprenorphine) in combination with behavioral counseling, for the treatment of opioid use disorders. Delivered in an outpatient setting, participants in BAART’s MAT program receive a comprehensive mental health assessment, individualized treatment plan, medication management, access to recovery groups, referrals, and regular follow up appointments.
Aftercare Planning
Participants meet with their counselor to devise an aftercare plan, which may involve follow up medical/medication management appointments, referrals, relapse prevention, and recovery support meetings.
