About Banyan Behavioral Care Program – Dade Chase – Miami
Banyan Health Systems has several clinics in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, including the Banyan Behavioral Care Program – Dade Chase on NW 59th Street in Miami, Florida. This clinic offers residential treatment for those with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and for those in the justice system. Services include medical detox, medication assisted treatment (MAT) and evidence based care. The staff can serve clients in both English and Spanish.
They serve all clients regardless of ability to pay. They also accept insurance coverage and have a sliding scale of fees for those who qualify.
One of the things that makes the Banyan program unique is that it’s one of the few in Florida that offer residential treatment for Spanish speakers. Despite Florida’s large Spanish speaking population, it can be hard to find services for those who don’t speak English.
This location is a Level 2 residential program, which is for those with a dual diagnosis who don’t have significant mental health symptoms or severe substance abuse. Clients can be referred by courts or agencies and people can also self refer.
This Banyan location also has a Community Enhancement Recovery Program (CERP), which provides Level 2 treatment and care for those referred through the justice system. These clients need help not only with substance use and mental health but also with criminal behavior that makes it hard for them to reintegrate into society.
Once the treatment program ends, Banyan can refer clients to outpatient treatment options and case management at their other locations. These centers, also in Miami, can provide ongoing support.
