About Baystate Franklin Medical Center – Greenfield
Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Massachusetts is a full service hospital that offers drug and alcohol rehab services to adult women who are pregnant. They provide a team of medically trained professionals to help women who are experiencing a substance use disorder. Their program is called the Moms Do Care Empowerment program.
If you are an expectant mother, the Moms Do Care program can help you have a smoother pregnancy and delivery experience. Your baby will also have a better chance of being healthy. You’ll work with a coordinator and a trained nurse. You’ll also work with a doula and recovery coach.
The program is not only open to women who are currently pregnant. They also serve women who have recently given birth or who have children who are up to 36 months old. They will provide you with education about drugs and alcohol and their effects on your body. They’ll give you information about nutrition and exercise during your pregnancy.
What I love about this place is all the different people who are there to help you. A peer support counselor will provide emotional support and advocate for you with government and law enforcement agencies. A doula will guide and support you through pregnancy and birth. The medical staff can provide you with safe medically assisted treatment if you need help detoxing and staying off of drugs.
