About Beacon House Aftercare Program – Louisville
In Louisville, Kentucky, Beacon House is a structured recovery home for adults with substance use disorder. Also known as transitional housing, Beacon House helps you get treatment, develop life and recovery skills and remain accountable in a safe, sober space.
Beacon House is a bridge between inpatient treatment or incarceration and returning to regular life. Most of their clients come from The Brook Hospital, Peace Hospital, Wooded Glen, Drug Court, Landmark, Praxis, Seven Counties, Recovery Works, and LMDC.
While you live at Beacon House, you’ll get individual and family counseling, healthcare, life skills education and medication assisted treatment using Vivitrol. Onsite programs include peer support, case management meetings, daily 12 Step meetings, meeting with your mentor and volunteering in the community.
While some recovery homes mainly offer sober living arrangements, Beacon House has life skills coaches, resident managers, social workers and referrals to give you a high level of care. They aim to help you be able to live independently after leaving Beacon House.
Their case management service gives you access to a case worker who works hard to make sure you have access to the healthcare, employment and housing resources that you need. Most people use these services for 6-12 months.
