The outpatient treatment program offered at this addiction treatment center utilizes evidence based therapies that are effective for substance abuse treatment in adults.

In addition, this program also offers motivational enhancement therapy to help veterans determine why they want to overcome substance abuse and find sobriety.

At the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, individuals are offered an inpatient and medication assisted treatment (MAT) program. These programs are effective for treating drug and alcohol abuse.

The inpatient residential program includes group and individual counseling, as does the MAT, but the MAT includes medication management. Both of these programs help to manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms while preventing relapse.

Outpatient
