About Behavioral Awareness Center – Tucson
Behavioral Awareness Center is a private behavioral health and drug and alcohol addiction treatment center. They help adult clients with mental health or substance abuse concerns through outpatient and medication assisted treatment (MAT). They accept walk-ins and do not require appointments. You’ll find ’em located in Tucson, Arizona.
The crux of their outpatient (OP) program is counseling, which is provided at the facility on a regular basis. Counseling helps clients discover their triggers, develop effective coping strategies, and become better advocates for their health. Services include individual and group counseling, family education, crisis response, withdrawal education, time management, and co dependence education.
Family members are strongly encouraged to participate in these meetings.
MAT is a method of treating substance abuse and is commonly used for opioid addiction. Their staff uses methadone and Suboxone to reduce or eliminate withdrawal symptoms. MAT is administered alongside outpatient treatment.
They work with some insurance providers, such as TRICARE, United Healthcare, TriWest, Magellan, and Banner University Health Plans. Clients are advised to confirm plan coverage when considering a treatment program, as out of network benefits may vary.
