About Behavioral Health Center – Pathways Home – Corpus Christi
The Nueces Center for Mental Health used to be called Behavioral Health Center – Pathways Home. The center provides outpatient care for adults with alcohol and/or substance addiction. The program includes individual counseling, assessments, and support. They’re located in Corpus Christi, Texas. They accept Medicare and Medicaid.
Crisis services at Nueces Center include follow-up and relapse prevention. Some programs you’ll have access to include medications and emotional wellness. Social services are also provided, like signing up for health insurance and finding a job. They have special mental rehabilitation services for children ages 3 to 17.
If you’re not able to get to the center, the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team may transport you there. In an extreme case, the team might arrange for or coordinate transportation with law enforcement.
The first step you’ll experience is an assessment by qualified professionals. Necessary documentation including evaluations and treatment plans are completed. Actually, if you don’t qualify, that doesn’t mean you won’t be treated. You’ll be referred to other community resources. Persons interested in services must show proof of residency, photo identification, and verification of insurance.
