Outpatient treatment includes assessment and diagnosis. It’s important to identify any underlying co-occurring mental health disorders if you’re getting treatment for substance use. Substance use disorder is often a result of self medicating uncomfortable symptoms of a mental health issue. Once the issues are identified, then you can begin to address your substance use and the reasons for it. You’ll attend group and individual therapy as well as have medication management if appropriate.
In the case of an acute psychiatric or medical concern, there’s a new 16 bed psychiatric inpatient center. The goal of the inpatient program is to quickly get crisis situations under control. This may include a substance use or behavioral health crisis.
