The Big Island Substance Abuse Council enhance the quality of care and innovative services in the areas of Substance Abuse Education, Intervention and Treatment. They are dedicated to the healing of the mind, body and spirit of individuals, families and others who suffer as a result of alcohol and other substance use, abuse and addiction.
Big Island Substance Abuse Council provide outpatient services in 31 different high, middle and charter schools throughout Hawaii.
Their outpatient treatment utilize an innovative treatment approach to substance abuse prevention, education and treatment. This service takes substance abuse treatment to the next level giving adolescents the skills to participate in activities that are beneficial to them.
Services may include individual and family counseling, and follow-up activities via community-based treatment.
