About Blandine House – Fond du Lac
Blandine House in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, is a residential treatment center for substance abuse. This is a men’s only facility offering support to men aged 18 and older.
Before being admitted potential residents must undergo a screening assessment by the team and their certified substance abuse counselors. Residents can then settle in and expect to stay for roughly 90 days. You’ll live alongside fellow male residents as you tackle their substance abuse issues head on. The house does not accept individuals in need of detox, so if you’re interested in committing to care here you must seek this service elsewhere before applying.
Individual therapy is provided here to help you address the root cause of your addiction, set personal development goals and evaluate your progress and they go. Group therapy is also available as a way to learn from and work with one another while building on the sense of community and friendships with the help of the team’s guidance counselors.
Recreational activities take place every Friday afternoon for a rounded, holistic approach to care. Some of the activities include bowling, camping, biking and other active or outdoor pursuits.
Aftercare is also available and takes place on Wednesday evenings. This is a regular touchpoint to help you address any issues or concerns and seek support for life skills you may be struggling with post recovery. This facility can also help with referrals for anyone seeking further or more intensive support.
