Outpatient addiction treatment
Boston Rescue Mission provides “sober beds,” for individuals who are unhoused and struggling with a substance use disorder. This program provides a drug and alcohol-free environment and counseling to address self-esteem issues and equip individuals with the coping skills for self-sufficiency.
Program participants work with a case manager in a trauma-informed session to identify goals like vocational training, public housing, transitional housing, inpatient treatment programs, reunification with family, and secure employment. Then, they create a plan to achieve those goals.
Additional spiritual development and counseling are provided through Bible studies, mentoring, church fellowship, community outreach, prayer meetings, and other scheduled spiritual events. A volunteer is paired with outpatient program participants to meet regularly to encourage spiritual growth and a deeper relationship with God.
